Rolling

Tide

Sangha

Rolling Tide Sangha supports the practice of mindfulness taught by Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh.  We meet in the north west of England and form part of the UK Community of Interbeing.

The Sangha meets every Thursday (except the fourth) each month  at the Friend’s Meeting House in Yealand Conyers, off the A6, just north of Carnforth in north Lancashire.  Evening Sangha meetings are at 7.00pm for a 7.15 start and usually finish with refreshments at about 9.00pm.

The atmosphere is relaxed and informal.  Evenings usually include sitting meditation, walking meditation, readings and the sharing of our thoughts.

Everyone is welcome.

Occasional Days of Mindfulness are organised to allow the Sangha to enjoy longer periods of peace, tranquillity and meditation.

Information about Sangha matters and events is sent several times a year by e mail or post to people on the mailing list.

The Rolling Tide

The universal door manifests itself

in the voice of the rolling tide.

Hearing and practicing it, we become a child,

born from the heart of a lotus,

fresh, pure, and happy,

capable of speaking and listening

in accord with the universal door.

With only one drop of the water

of compassion

from the branch of the willow,

spring returns to the great Earth.
